The male Yellow-headed Blackbird is black with a yellow head and chest. They are slightly smaller than blackbirds in size, and tend to travel in flocks. The Purple Honeycreeper has length body 11. The female Violet-crowned Woodnymph has bright green above and grey throat and breast. Females are yellow below and greenish above with dark wings. Basically, males appear more brightly colored and have more intricate color marks and patterns.
