Life in the age of drone warfare

The refocus on science and technology since the 1970s correlates 1:1 with the accumulation of environmental problems in multiple, related dimensions. Extremism is an acquired feature; it transcends gender, age, ethnicity, religion, and social status. Perhaps there was a bug in the software; perhaps the system was improperly designed. In so doing, a number of chapters explore unorthodox methods of scholarship, including personal testimony by a United States drone sensor operator chapter 13literary pastiche chapter 7 and ontological conceptual art chapter 14.

Security, like peace, may be considered as a basic need and a fundamental human right.

Capitalism and the Violence of Environmental Decline

While popular uprisings and mobilization in Latin America led to the rise of center-left regimes capable of securing greater independence in economic policy from the US and the IMF, the Mexican elite literally stole elections in 1988 and 2006, blocking the possibility of an alternative model. These forces talk about peace and progress but practice violence that destroys prosperity. Does one dead child equal one dead grownup, or does he equal five dead grownups?

Hence, to kill or to allow to live constitute the limits of sovereignty, its fundamental attributes. Although exact figures of fatalities are difficult to establish, the estimated number of deaths between 2004 and 2012 vary.
