When the Widow Wilkes begs Theo to apply her sleuthing skills, she can't refuse. This story twisted and turned and then the layers peeled back to reveal something totally different. Just like I said in my last review for the previous book in the series, it feels like the series has now taken a turn and with that turn, the author is taking some risks. And the tea information is interesting, too.

Social darling Delaine Dish is throwing a lavish Candlelight Concert to raise funds to restore a run-down Victorian home-and Theodosia Browning is more than happy to help out with tea and tasty treats from the Indigo Tea Shop.

I can infer more details about why the couple committed both murders but could have used lots more info. Really, really intriguing with an old house designed with secret passages and hidden rooms to explore. This one took me longer to read so maybe if I reread it straight through I'd think it worked out okay. Theodosia Browning, owner of Charleston's "Indigo Tea Shop" is once again embroiled in her seventh tea shop murder mystery--this time, the untimely demise of beloved politico and retired CEO, Duke Wilkes.

As the story opens they are doing the food service at a benefit musical in a historic home in need of repair.

Blood Orange Brewing (A Tea Shop Mystery)

I started reading this series years ago and I liked it. Alison's client doesn't deny that she stabbed her husband - she wants to plead guilty. The mystery in this book was great! Child's puts out a classic cozy mystery. Burt Tidwell, Theodosia pursues her own investigation, prompted by attorney Jory Davis, the victim's brother and Theodosia's ex-boyfriend. You kids out there in Hoplark are brewing some amazing stuff! I started reading this series years ago and I liked it. The killer only appeared in the story twice at the very beginning.

When the Widow Wilkes begs Theo to Still going strong. It was not a satisfying conclusion at all. What readers are saying about Aunt Dimity: Detective: 'These books are just pure, glorious entertainment' '[Like] an evening with an old friend' 'Light, entertaining reading, always with an interesting twist' under the pen name Kelsey RobertsPollero makes her frivolous but fun mystery debut featuring Finley Anderson Tanner. I also liked the concert, until the end.
