Perhaps the greatest praise I can offer is simply that I rarely find an author who I am compelled to read beyond a single volume. Flora Annie Steel nee Webster who also wrote under the pseudonym A Fellow Mortal 1847-1929 was an English writer.

Not sure if I believed him, I picked up this copy, which includes the "Merry" and illustrations to boot.
It is a shame we seem to have lost such books. " I don't know what he expected, but apparently it requires a certain taste in humor - at least to share my level of love for it. "synopsis" may belong to another edition of this title. As this print on demand book is reprinted from a very old book, there could be some missing or flawed pages, but we always try to make the book as complete as possible. The redrawings in this Dover edition are of the 6 grayscale Little, Brown illustrations.
